Pura Vida was founded back in 2010, when our founders Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman were traveling on their college graduation trip. While in Costa Rica, they came across two artisan jewelry makers, Jorge and Joaquin, whose handmade bracelets captured the simple beauty of the country. However, they were struggling to survive on their artisan wages, living with their family in a single room.
Griffin and Paul were inspired to help these artisans and asked them to make more bracelets to sell. We brought 400 string bracelets back home to sell in local boutiques and the rest is history. Today, we still sell a vast array of artisan bracelets, but you’ll also gain access to a full catalog of other stunning selections - and these sterling silver toe rings are one of our new hits!
