There's nothing like lighting some cinnamon candles, playing Michael Bublé and getting crafty during the holidays! 🎅 If you haven't done any decorating this year and need to bring some holiday cheer into your home, we have the perfect little DIY project for you that's super simple yet mega cute! 🎄
What you'll need:
- Styrofoam cones
- Thick Yarn
- Wood Cubes
- Wood stars
- Skinny wooden dowels
- Small pearls
- Hot glue gun
STEP 1
Cover the top of your cone with hot glue and carefully lay the yarn down in a spiral, starting in the center and working your way out!
STEP 2
Spread the hot glue on to the cone in small sections at a time to wrap and secure the yarn before the glue dries. Repeat this step until your entire cone is wrapped covered! You can also wrap a few circles of yarn underneath the cone so you can't see any styrofoam!
STEP 3
Next put hot glue on the edge of one of your dowels and hold it down onto the center of a wooden cube. Make sure you hold it in place until the glue dries or it will most likely fall over!
STEP 4
Now you can add finishing decor touches like glueing on little pearls to resemble ornaments or wrapping a different colored piece of yarn around your tree to resemble string lights! And of course, don't forget to add a star on top! You can just glue two corners of your star and lay it right on top of your tree!
STEP 5
Add some hot glue to the edge of the dowel and firmly push it into the bottom of the styrofoam cone right in the center. You can push some in further than the others so create different Christmas tree heights too!
STEP 6
Place the trees on your mantle, dining table, or shelves to bring a cute little touch of the holidays into your home!
